Florence Pass Project
The Wyoming Conservation Corp. did trail work
on a section of trail near Florence Pass that has had
rock slide activity and was in need of repair.
Our club participated by providing the personnel, stock
and expertise to pack the supplies for the 10 member
crew of the Conservation Corp. who did the trail work. Club
members met with the work crew at the Hunter Work
Center (Satellite
view) on Sunday, July
20, 2008, to go over the logistics of the packing
and the needed stock.
On Monday morning, July 21, 2008, the volunteer club
members packed all the gear onto the livestock and then packed it into the
proposed site for the crew at Medicine Park.
On Tuesday, July 29,
2008, club members met at Hunter Corral Work Center to
begin the day's project of bringing the crew's supplies back.
There were 6 riders from
the club and another 10 club livestock involved in
getting the job done.
